About Us

I was lucky enough to grow up in St Agnes with the stunning Cornish landscape all around me.  As a child I took it all for granted but when I became a mum I started to worry about the environment my children were growing up in.  I decided to ‘go green’ and used washable nappies, local organic produce and set about recycling with zeal!

However at the first birthday party I found myself buying all manner of glitzy disposable party goods and decorations.  Not only did I waste hours trawling the shops for matching goods but found myself too exhausted after the party to even consider separating and recycling all the table ware! 

When I was a tot my mum always threw birthday parties – the really traditional jelly and ice-cream types that you remember forever.   I wanted to do the same for my children and with a background in child care I had a stack of game ideas and activities all ready… but further shopping trips for throw-away party ware wasn’t my idea of fun!

I decided there must be a better way and so Boomerang Birthdays was born.
